HOW WE STARTED

The Rosenfeld Company was founded on a clear vision: to bring integrity, strategic insight, and enduring value to the real estate market. After more than a decade of hands-on experience in brokerage, founder Matthew Rosenfeld launched the firm driven by a passion for client success and a commitment to honoring his family name through meaningful, lasting work.

What began as a brokerage-focused operation has steadily evolved, guided by discipline, strong relationships, and a deep understanding of the retail sector, into a trusted full-service firm positioned for growth in both brokerage and development.

Matthew Rosenfeld is the Founder and President of The Rosenfeld Company. He specializes in retail tenant representation, land sales, building disposition, and investment sales in Texas. He has worked extensively with pad users from both the tenant and landlord side of the transaction. He currently represents JPMorgan Chase Bank, Sam’s Club, Quick N Clean Car Wash, and Pizza Patron. In addition, he represents several land buyers such as JPI, WaterWalk and other family offices. Prior to founding The Rosenfeld Company, Matthew spent over a decade at Weitzman, leading their DFW Brokerage Department as well as being a perennial statewide top producer. From 2017-2025, he earned the Power Broker award from D CEO Magazine. In 2018, the national publication Connect Media recognized him as one of the Top 10 Brokers in Texas. 

Lauren Johnson

TECHNOLOGY designer

Lauren is a technology designer and consultant for the Rosenfeld Company. With a background in innovation strategy and web design,  she collaborates with Matthew to oversee all aspects of design and technology strategy for the Rosenfeld Company.

Lauren recently earned her Master’s degree in Design Methods from the Institute of Design in Chicago, with a focus on technology and innovation strategy.

Matthew received his undergraduate degree from the prestigious Red McCombs Business School at the University of Texas at Austin. He was an academic All-American scholar in addition to being a 3-time All-American on the UT Men’s Golf Team, winning the Big 12 Championship his senior season. Matthew continued his professional golf career for several years after college, competing on the PGA Tour, Korn Ferry Tour, European Tour, and Asian Tour, before starting his tenured career in commercial real estate. His most notable golf achievement was winning the U.S Junior Amateur Championship in 2000.  

Professional Organizations

Matthew is currently a member of the North Texas Land Council and the International Council of Shopping Centers. He has previously served as ICSC’s Next Generation Leadership Network, which comprised of 65 young professionals from across the U.S. and Canada to promote the industry and its members. In addition, he served on the board of directors for Young Texans Against Cancer from 2018-2020 until it was acquired by the American Cancer Society.
